ProfileIMPACT (Ottawa, Canada) began in 1986 as Partnership Africa Canada, a Canadian civil-society coalition initially disbursing Government of Canada funds to African civil society; it became an independent non-profit in 1993 and renamed to IMPACT in October 2017. It is best known, under its PAC name, for a lead role in creating the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme against conflict diamonds — recognised with a joint 2003 Nobel Peace Prize nomination alongside Global Witness (the prize itself went to Shirin Ebadi that year, per Wikipedia's independent account).
