A PLANTEL IS A PROCESSING YARD, NOT A MINE. This facility buys ore from artisanal miners and extracts the gold: 'comprar broza exclusivamente a mineros artesanales y extraer el oro'; 'procesa mineral exclusivo de la mineria artesanal'. It is the referent of the SPMTP's 'Plantel La Libertad' string.

INTERVAL BROKEN 23 MARCH 2023: the Nicaraguan state cancelled the concession and intervened the plant's assets, appointing a Ministry of Energy and Mines official to run the plant's operations. Whether the company resumed operation is unestablished. A new concession was granted to its legal representative in April 2026.
