Bea Mountain Mining Corporation (BMMC) signed a Mining Development Agreement with the Liberian government in 2001; its licence area contains the New Liberty gold mine, built from 2014 and in full commercial production from 2016. A First Amendment ratified by the Liberian legislature in September 2023 reset the operating term to 25 years and reduced the government's equity stake from 10 percent to 5 percent. Appears in the SPMTP supplier map for Liberia in 2024 and 2025.
