Belgian company registered since 7 July 1904, seated in Brussels, operating the Hoboken precious-metals refinery. On the LBMA Good Delivery List for gold as "Umicore SA Business Unit Precious Metals Refining", refinery Hoboken, first listing ~1930, listing from 1 March 2023 after a transfer to the former list on 28/02/2023. LBMA Affiliate Member typed "Refiner". Umicore's own process page states the Hoboken shift "from concentrates to recyclable materials and industrial byproducts"; its Annual Report 2025 states that 52.5% of the group's metal-containing raw-material input came from secondary sources in 2025 (53.9% in 2024) and that Hoboken "can recover 17 different valuable metals from over 200 types of complex waste streams". Named in the Swiss Precious Metals Transparency Platform's 2024 supplier map as a named party for recycled gold from Belgium.
