ProfileINGEMMET is Peru's geological, mining and metallurgical institute, established by military decree in 1979 from the merger of two predecessor technical institutes, and reconstituted in 2007 by absorbing INACC — the country's former mining-concessions and cadastre agency — which is why INGEMMET, not a separate body, now runs Peru's mining-title cadastre. It administers GEOCATMIN, the online Geographic Cadastral Mining Guide the hub cites for mining-concession geometries (e.g. Madre de Dios). A GEOCATMIN row establishes that a concession polygon of a given status exists in the cadastre on the date queried — it does not establish operational status, environmental compliance, or beneficial ownership, all of which OEFA, SUNARP or a company filing must supply. No independent critique of GEOCATMIN's coverage was found this pass; the record's site-attribution work for Madre de Dios already leans on it directly.Single source
