ProfileSBGA is a Swiss non-profit association (Tannay, formally registered in the Handelsregister 6 Jul 2018, UID CHE-196.767.675) founded by six downstream/finance companies (A. Favre & Fils, Argor, Cartier, Impact Finance, Metalor, MKS PAMP) in partnership with SECO in 2013. Its Swiss Better Gold Initiative (SBGI) delivered a documented 16.8 tonnes of responsibly-mined gold exports, 32,000+ beneficiaries and USD 13.6m in impact premiums across Peru, Colombia, Bolivia and Mongolia. In 2025 SECO transferred ownership of the SBGI programme to the Association itself — its own factsheet states this explicitly ("a natural step" reflecting the Association's maturity into "a robust private sector platform") — while SECO's public funding pivoted to a new, separately-tracked 2025–2029 ASGM programme.Single source
