The CRAFT Code, the Code of Risk mitigation for Artisanal and small-scale miners engaging in Formal Trade, is a standard initiative of the Alliance for Responsible Mining and RESOLVE, released in October 2018 and open-source under Creative Commons. It sets a progressive due-diligence path that lets artisanal and small-scale miners enter formal supply chains without the investment a full certification requires, and lets buyers assess risks such as child labour, illicit trade and uncontrolled chemical use. Version 2.1 was launched on 16 October 2024.
