ProfileThe LBMA is the London-based trade association for the global bullion market, incorporated 14 December 1987 as a private company limited by guarantee (Companies House 02205480), registered office 62 Threadneedle Street, London. It administers the Good Delivery List (the accreditation register for gold and silver refiners) and the Responsible Gold Guidance (RGG), the assurance standard most LBMA-accredited refiners are audited against, alongside Disclosure Guidance v3 and the Global Precious Metals Code. Independent NGO critiques (RAID, Global Witness, SWISSAID, Fastenopfer, Society for Threatened Peoples, joint statement 2021-03-09) hold that "The LBMA's claim that its Responsible Sourcing Programme is robust and that all the gold it certifies is free of human rights abuses is simply not credible" and that the RGG "is still not aligned to the OECD Guidance." No LEI was found for the LBMA in a GLEIF fulltext search — recorded as an honest absence.Single source
